This role can be worked remotely from Colorado, Illinois, Florida, Virginia, and Texas (Houston preferred)


In this people centric role, the Learning & Development Specialist will be responsible for assessing the needs of the organization with the Director of Learning and Development to ensure that the sales, software, and customer service curriculum is delivered with relevance and urgency to what the Laramar business needs are. this team member will help to create and development meaningful training content and resources for the on-site team members as well as new properties.   • Support the Director of Learning and Development with administering the Learning Management Systems. This includes creating and managing users/staffing changes/property changes.
  • Assist Laramar team members with access and navigation issues in the Learning Management Systems and help manage the Training support ticketing system. 
  • Responsible for assisting in the creation and maintaining of the Laramar training curriculum.
  • Support the creation of training programs and initiatives.
  • Schedule, facilitate, and track training events using a variety of instructional techniques.
  • Support community takeovers to ensure new team members have the appropriate resources and knowledge of their community and Laramar.
  • Help to administer and support company initiatives.
  • Responsible for the scheduling and maintaining of the Ellis Partners Mystery Shops.
  • Responsible for the facilitation of the Laramar L&D Sales, Software, and Customer Service curriculum for all levels of the business.
  • Work closely with Director of Learning and Development and National Director of Facilities to develop maintenance training curriculum.
  • Support the Maintenance Learning Management System.
  • Support the facilitation of virtual training experiences for L&D and other support departments when needed.
  • Partner with the Director of Learning and Development to review the Customer Service Survey data to determine any areas of opportunity.
  • Be an integral piece of the Laramar onboarding processes.
  • Responsible for the support and training of necessary SOP's.
  • Support the Innovation and Technology department with pilots. 
  • Maintain an overall positive, helpful attitude when working with team members. 
  • Assist with any; and all training needs as determined by the Director of Learning and Development. 
  • Other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned by the Director of Learning and Development.


  • 2+ years Property Management experience (Leasing Consultant/Assistant Manager/Property Manager)
  • 2+years of experience with Yardi Voyager
  • 2+ years of CRM experience
  • 4-year degree or 2-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills
  • 2+ years Training Development experience preferred
  • Ability to travel 50-70%
  • Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service and follow through
  • Efficient in Office 365
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work independently or with groups to achieve department goals
  • Experience with Maintenance initiatives a plus
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a positive work approach
  • Strong trouble shooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Additional skills needed include phone skills, multitasking, time management, product knowledge and market knowledge
  • The salary range for this role is $55K - $70K/year.
